Tips:
Pantyhose: Avoid wearing pantyhose under your corset. They will be nearly impossible to pull down when the corset is laced tight. Try thigh-high stockings or a garter belt.
Bra: Corsets tend to push you up so bra straps will be looser and may fall down. Either adjust your straps or try a strapless bra.
Tops: While any style may be worn, thinner materials will work best under a corset.
Pants: If wearing pants or jeans, low-rise will be easier to remove. The pants will also be more flattering if they fit snugly in the hips.
Skirts: Fuller skirts will help to accentuate the hourglass look, while straight skirts will render a more slimming appearance.
Relacing: Our corsets are laced with 7 yards of lacing. To replace, bring the lace underneath at the top and come up through the first set of grommets. Make three sets of crossed Xs. The middle set of grommets will be used to form the loops for pulling and tightening your corset. Continue to make 3 more sets of crossed Xs. You should end up with the lacing going over and ending beneath the corset.
Caring for the busk: When putting on the corset, it is important that you loosen the laces completely before closing the busk. Otherwise, you will put too much pressure on the busk.
The same applies when removing the corset. Completely loosen the laces before opening the front busk.
Cleaning: All of our corsets are dry clean only. If you order denim fabric you may spot treat, but do not fully wash it.
Storage: Folding our corsets will not warp them. You may also close the busks and hang our corsets on a skirt hanger, or simply slide them over a clothes hanger. |
